The Swithen is a series of novels that retell the original legends of King Arthur, keeping the plots and characters, but adding in the psychology and character development that is missing in the Middle English sources, and unifying the several disparate stories into one overarching, epic narrative.

Author Scott Telek started with Le Morte D’Arthur, and like most people who read the original Arthurian sources, became more and more obsessed with them. When he started reading the original sources for it, and found himself even more obsessed, he began thinking that it would be possible to create a series that retained the stories and tone of the original sources, but filled in the missing character development and psychology.

Telek is a web copywriter by trade and has been writing fiction all of his life. He also makes films, enjoys oil painting and is the creator of the LGBTQ oral history series Queer Profiles.
